Meclander is a publisher focused on modern and contemporary art and visual culture.

Alongside innovative scholarship spanning nineteenth- and twentieth-century art, our articles, interviews, and books approach emerging practices and cultural politics with an expansive, historically-minded perspective. We are broadly concerned with visual art, performance, music, film, popular culture, as well as historiographic and theoretical writing that challenges disciplinary conventions.
